St. Francis of Assisi Church in Raleigh seats about 1200 people in a lively reverberant environment suitable for organ and classical choral music. A sound system by Jim Brawley preserves the speech clarity.

The 1800 seat L. Douglas Wilder Center for the Performing Arts at Norfolk State University has achieved a reputation for the best natural acoustics in the Hampton Roads area. This is enhanced by the recent addition of an orchestra shell.  Take the visual tours One and Two.
