Our Team
Our combination of training, breadth of experience, and leadership is unmatched by any other firm in our primary service area. Senior Principal Consultant Dr. Noral D. Stewart, FASA, FASTM founded the firm and is now offering limited services in semi-retirement. He is an internationally recognized leader involved in the study and practice of acoustics since 1967, consulting full time since 1981 and a past President of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants (NCAC). Principal Consultant Joe Bridger has been with the firm since 1993 and now manages operations. He has for many years led our work in architectural acoustics (room acoustics, HVAC noise control, and sound isolation), including performance spaces, worship spaces, and schools and is currently serving as a vice-president of the NCAC. Senior Consultant Dr. John Gagliardi has over 25 years of experience in acoustics. John Gagliardi leads our environmental investigation efforts and provides critical support for architectural acoustics and field investigations from his office near Charlotte. Analyst Mukun Acharya provides strong support with analysis, field investigations, and computer modeling. Jim Brawley (James S. Brawley and Associates) has worked with our firm since at least the early 90's, and is our primary audio and other technical systems consultant; and also helps with audio-related room acoustics investigations. Others frequently assisting under contract include former employee Mathew George (MMG Acoustical Consultants) and his team, Eric Reuter (Reuter Associates, LLC), Dr. Richard Honeycutt, and Dr. Howard Quinn.
We have built a close network of acoustical consultants around the country that we can bring on board for specific project demands or skills. We deliberately recruit highly skilled independent consultants who share our vision to join our team on projects so that we can always bring the best quality to every project and meet client needs. Our active participation in technical, professional, and standards organizations provides contacts and current technical knowledge of developments in our field.
